About the role

Livestream is looking for a full time Media Delivery technician based in the company’s state-of-the art encoding facility at IMG Studios, in Uxbridge, London. The ideal candidate has a strong track record of delivering live streamed events and/or working in a live broadcasting facility. S/he should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, taking the initiative, managing multiple projects, and working under tight timeframes. S/he is also a motivated, self-starter with a passion for live streaming.

  • Responsible for all aspects of the Livestream encoding package set-up, operation, and strike. Before, during, and after an event, respectively.
  • Work in tandem with the Senior Encoding Engineer/ Project Manager and the Livestream Support Team to ensure the secure delivery of live event broadcasts sourced from around the globe.
  •  Be part of the foundation of Livestream’s new live broadcasting facility in London, and contribute to the growth of the team and the business.
  •  We will enroll the successful candidate in the the Livestream Encoding Certification training, and will expect her/him to take and pass the certification at the end of the training.


Required qualifications

  • Experience with live video operations and live broadcast productions.
  • Live and On-Demand streaming experience (HD and SD) and an ability to support streaming software.
  • Broad understanding of video encoding codecs.
  • Basic understanding of satellite and fiber acquisition pathways.
  • Basic understanding of video editing.
  • Be detail oriented and have excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Must be willing to work outside of regular office hours.
  • A self-motivated collaborator that thrives in a team atmosphere and can keep calm under fire is a must.
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary to take requirements from clients and liaise with staff.
  • Mac and PC proficiency is required.
